Update on Bulletin Regarding Juvenile Cases
CITY OF FAIRFAX — On October 20, 2025, the City of Fairfax Police Department announced that its Criminal Investigations Division was investigating a series of crimes, including the discharge of a firearm inside a dwelling and an assault by mob inside a McDonald's (10775 Fairfax Blvd.). Detectives believed that the crimes were committed by a group of individuals made up of young adults and juveniles. A thorough investigation revealed that a group of nine juveniles and one adult were responsible for the crimes.
On December 3, 2025, detectives obtained eight juvenile petitions for Robbery, two juvenile petitions for Felony Assault by Mob, one juvenile petition for Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, one juvenile petition for Discharge of a Firearm Within a Residence, ten juvenile petitions for Misdemeanor Assault by Mob, and two juvenile petitions for Petit Larceny for the nine juveniles involved. All juvenile petitions have been served. Two of the juveniles are being held at the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center until their hearing.
The Criminal Investigations Division identified the adult suspect and obtained warrants. On December 8, 2025, Burak Molla, 18, of Fairfax, was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was served his warrants for two counts of Robbery, one count of Felony Assault by Mob, and one count of Misdemeanor Assault by Mob. Molla was held on a secure bond, but was released a short time later.
