What is Forest Rescues?

Fairfax City Forest Rescues is a city-wide volunteer program that aims to restore the health of Fairfax's urban forest through invasive plant removal and native restoration plantings.

Attendees who complete this training may apply to become a Certified Forest Rescuer after completing four volunteer hours. Once certified, Forest Rescuers are permitted to work independently in city parks to restore habitat areas in collaboration with city staff.
